Marshalls, Sports Authority & Wendy’s coming soon to Hazel Dell

Three new tenants are coming soon to a redeveloped Hazel Dell Marketplace, the Safeway-anchored shopping center located at 408 NE 81st Street in Vancouver.

C.E. John, the Vancouver-based real estate development, construction and management company that owns the center, announced on Wednesday that a new Wendy’s restaurant (open later this month), Sports Authority (open October 2015) and Marshalls (open August 2016) are all new additions.

The company also revealed plans to construct six new buildings at the center, adding more than 60,000 square feet of new retail space.

“This development in addition to the existing shopping center buildings will position Hazel Dell Marketplace as the premier shopping and eating destination for the west side of Vancouver,” said Walker John, president of C.E. John, in a press release. “This has always been a successful shopping center and we are excited to expand and upgrade it through the redevelopment.”

C.E. John’s redevelopment of Hazel Dell Marketplace will also include a facade upgrade of all existing shop spaces. That work is scheduled to begin later this year.
