The Port of Vancouver USA Board of Commissioners will meet at 1 p.m. on Friday (April 15) to consider a lease amendment for Vancouver Energy, the proposed oil transfer facility at the port.

The commission held its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday at Clark College’s Gaiser Hall. The meeting was extended into the evening to allow for public comment. More than 200 speakers weighed in on the proposed project over the course of nine hours. Commission President Jerry Oliver eventually recessed the meeting until Friday.

Friday’s meeting will be held at the port’s administrative offices (3103 Northwest Lower River Rd. in Vancouver). The meeting is open to the public, but no public comment will be taken. The meeting room has a capacity of 70 people, including overflow into the lobby.

The meeting will be live-streamed on www.cvtv.org.
