Vancouver Farmers Market seeks volunteers

The Vancouver Farmers Market (VFM) is actively seeking volunteers for the downtown and Columbia Tech Center markets for the 2016 season.

The market plans to expand its volunteer opportunities this year, including through the creation of a “Gleaning Volunteer” position that will assist Clark County Food Bank volunteers in collecting food donations for hungry families and a “Community Outreach Volunteer,” who will provide community education by assisting with outreach programming at the market.

“Volunteers are an important part of any nonprofit organization, but we are looking to be more than just a clock in/clock out type of program,” said Jordan Boldt, executive director of the VFM. “We want to provide meaningful and positive experiences for our volunteers, while making sure we offer individualized positions that match each volunteer’s skill set and creativity.”

The 2016 season begins on March, 19.
