SELF receives $40,000 grant

SELF (Support for Early Learning and Families), a Vancouver-based nonprofit that promotes early education, has received a one-year $40,000 grant from the Meyer Memorial Trust to support future fundraising efforts and assessment of current funding methods.

Specifically, the grant was awarded to:

  • Assess current infrastructure
  • Create a plan that will provide direction for future development efforts
  • Provide resources to implement the plan

“These monies from Meyer Memorial Trust are vital to the future of SELF and the Our Children Can’t Wait effort,” said Debbie Ham, executive director of SELF. “Meyer’s investment in our organization will create a solid plan and direction for our development efforts.”

SELF is coordinating Our Children Can’t Wait, a community-wide effort, to elevate early learning throughout Clark County.
