Regional dental care network opens Vancouver clinic

The Geriatric Dental Group, a private, nonprofit dental care network dedicated to providing lower cost care for older adults, has opened a new clinic in Vancouver’s Columbia Tech Center.

The new office, located at 16500 SE 15th, Suite 150, will offer discounted dental treatment for older adults and people in wheelchairs.

“Seniors are among some of the most underserved when it comes to oral health care,” said Amy Linder, Geriatric Dental Group executive director. “Geriatric Dental Group aims to fill that need.”

The Vancouver clinic was funded in part by a $90,000 grant from Washington Dental Service (WDS) Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to finding lasting approaches that improve the oral and overall health of Washington residents.

“The health of your mouth affects the health of your body,” said Dr. David Branch, a dentist and Washington Dental Service Foundation board member. “Having a healthy mouth saves money through lower costs for care, and helps people better manage chronic diseases.”

Linder anticipates that the Vancouver clinic will attract patients in Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania counties and beyond.

Geriatric Dental Group also has dental offices in Federal Way and Portland.
