Nautilus announces Google Fit support

Vancouver-headquartered Nautilus Inc. announced on Wednesday that its Bowflex Max Trainer will support Google Fit, an open health-tracking platform designed for the Android operating system.

Compatibility with Google Fit comes on the heels of the company’s integration with Apple HealthKit, and is part of Nautilus’ digital strategy to integrate with health and fitness platforms across all of its Bluetooth-enabled fitness equipment.

“Through its support of Google Fit, Nautilus Inc. continues to lead the fitness equipment category by integrating with the latest offerings that give consumers the information they need to make decisions about their health,” said Rob Murdock, VP/general manager of Nautilus, in a press release. “Research shows that digital connectivity, and the ability to track progress, play a critical role in keeping people motivated and engaged.”
