Interactive book publisher wins $1,000 prize from Grow Clark County

Morebots is the recipient of a $1,000 prize from Grow Clark County after receiving the most votes during a showcase of 10 start-ups at the Vancouver Business Journal’s Business Growth Awards event on Wednesday. Votes were cast by attendees based on concept and product.

Founded by James Pritchett, Morebots is an interactive book publisher that creates engaging and entertaining titles utilizing image recognition technology to enhance the story. The Camas-based company opened its doors in March and is in the process of introducing its first children’s book series that allows young readers to scan its pages using the Morebots page scanning app to expand the printed page to smart device screens.

The company plans to produce its children’s book series monthly along with various custom printed editions in partnership with other admirable companies, organizations and foundations that want to deliver their message and more.
