The inaugural Dr. Sam Beall Breakfast raised $17,000 for the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington last month.
More than 114 people attended the event, held on Thursday, April 23 at the Red Cross Building at Vancouver Barracks. The event commemorated the clinic’s 25th year of serving the uninsured and under-insured in the community.
“We were pleased to share our history of caring for those in need and to encourage event participants to join with us to continue the mission of the Free Clinic,” said Barbe West, executive director.
Today, through the Free Clinic, more than 600 active volunteers provide care to low-income, uninsured and underinsured individuals, five days a week.
