Electric Lightwave celebrates milestone

Electric Lightwave, an Integra Company, and provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, recently completed its new long-haul fiber optic route to Quincy, Washington – one of the country’s largest data center clusters.

According to Vancouver-based Electric Lightwave, the direct route expands the company’s network to offer customers high-bandwidth and low latency transport between Quincy data centers and several metro areas throughout the West.

“This strategic route complements our existing long-haul and metro fiber network and aligns with our ongoing network expansion strategy,” said Dan Stoll, president of Electric Lightwave. “The Quincy area is a hotbed for data centers and we can now provide direct, secure, high-bandwidth connectivity to these customers requiring access to major metro areas that include Seattle, Portland, the Bay Area, Sacramento and Los Angeles.”

In addition to supporting access to more than 100 data centers, Electric Lightwave’s dense fiber network currently serves 3,350 on-net buildings with 12,500 route miles of fiber.
