Columbia Machine CEO headlines June Boardroom Breakfast

Rick Goode, CEO of Columbia Machine, will discuss the state of his company during the Vancouver Business Journal’s next Boardroom Breakfast on Wednesday, June 1.

Goode has served as CEO since 2006 and has been with the company since 1995. He has an MBA in marketing and management from the University of Portland and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business.

Founded by Fred Neth, Sr. in 1937, Columbia Machine began as a one-man machine shop housed in a small building where the second span of the I-5 Bridge is now located. In the mid 1950s, the company moved to its current location (107 S Grand Boulevard), a former movie theater. Over the decades, the company has gained an international reputation with locations in North America, Mexico, China, New Zealand, Australia, India and Poland, but continues to operate its headquarters in Vancouver.

Today, the company is considered a leader in the design, manufacturing and support of equipment for a variety of industries. Primary business units include concrete products equipment solutions, production equipment molds, mechanical palletizing machines, conveyor system solutions and more.

The Boardroom Breakfast will be held at the Artillery Barracks on the Historic Fort Vancouver National Site (600 E Hatheway Rd.) from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
