City launches new mobile app

The city of Vancouver has launched a new mobile app as part of an ongoing effort to improve connections and make city government more accessible to its residents.

The MyVancouver mobile app allows users to submit service requests for issues such as potholes, graffiti, street sign damage and streetlight outages. It also features access to city information such as an events calendar, street sweeping schedules, job listings, online services like permit payments and more. More city services will be added to the app later this year. City staff worked with the civic software company Accela (formerly PublicStuff) to launch MyVancouver.

For those without smartphone access, service requests can also be made online at www.cityofvancouver.us/MyVancouver. Residents without internet access can still report service requests by phone at 360.487.8177 or 360.693.9302 after normal business hours. The app is available for free download on Google Play and the Apple Store.
