Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation has appointed Robert Adams and Courtney Barker to its board of trustees. The foundation advocates and raises funds for Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center.

With more than 30 years in the financial service industry, Adams is currently the vice president of wealth management for Columbia Credit Union. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Upper Iowa University in Madison, Wisconsin, and has volunteered with high school booster clubs, as well as an active participant in fundraising activities for several nonprofit organizations.

Barker owns Véraison Wine Events, a business dedicated to educating and empowering wine consumers through monthly wine clubs, wine parties and retail sales. Previously, she was the vice president of marketing and communications with Ridgefield, Washington based Corwin Beverage, where she remains a co-owner and board member. She is also a board member and shareholder of Kendall’s Pioneer Distributing and serves on the board of the Northwest Association of Blind Athletes. Barker holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Montana.

HEATH HENDERSON

Heath Henderson, Clark County public works director and county engineer, has been named Urban County Engineer of the Year in Washington.

The Washington State Association of County Engineers presented Henderson with the award during its annual conference earlier this summer.

Henderson, a licensed professional engineer, has held his current position since 2013. He directs one of the county’s largest departments with more than 260 employees and a two-year budget totaling $217.5 million, including federal, state and local funding.

Henderson joined Clark County Public Works in 1998 after working three years at the city of Vancouver. He has worked for Clark County as a civil engineer, environmental permitting manager, design section supervisor and engineering and construction division manager.

DAVID McDEVITT

David McDevitt, a self-employed member of the California State Bar Association, was recently appointed to the Clark County Clean Water Commission for a term that runs through Dec. 31, 2016.

McDevitt previously served on the Alameda County Civil Grand Jury. He also was a senior manager in information technology for DIRECTV and NorthPoint Communications Inc.

The nine-member clean water advisory group makes recommendations to the Board of County Councilors about services, policies and financing to meet federal and state requirements for water quality, including stormwater management.

BILL WRIGHT

The Board of County Councilors recently appointed Bill Wright to serve on the Planning Commission through 2018. He is a Washington native who has lived in the Salmon Creek area since 1991.

Wright recently retired as the county’s transportation programming manager following 16 years of service with Public Works. He is a licensed civil engineer and founding member of the Washington State Public Works Board.

Wright earned a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Washington State University. He also received undergraduate degrees in physical science and bacteriology/public health at WSU.

The Planning Commission is a seven-member volunteer group that makes recommendations to the board on land-use planning, zoning and development in rural and urban areas outside of city limits. Topics include growth management, roads, public facilities plans, development regulations and county ordinances.

ELIZABETH FITZGERALD & MICHELLE PROSSER

Share recently welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors: Elizabeth Fitzgearld and Michelle Prosser.

Fitzgearld is the office manager at ENTOffice.org, the office of doctors Todd Bernstein and David Bloom. She serves on the Program Advisory Committee at Everest College and is an MBA candidate in non-profit management at the University of Portland.

Prosser is a managing attorney and shareholder at Stahancyk, Kent & Hook P.C. in Vancouver. She is a member of both the state of Washington and Clark County Bar Associations. Prosser is also a member of the Clark County Historical Society, Clark County Chamber of Commerce, Identity Clark County and Vancouver’s Downtown Association.
