ERIC STROM

Columbia Credit Union has hired Eric Strom as a registered representative for its wealth management department.

As an investment advisor representative for Cetera Advisor Networks, Strom will assist members with financial planning, investment and retirement strategies, education funding options, and insurance services. He will serve members at the Riverstone, Cascade Park, EastRidge and Washougal branches.

Strom brings more than 15 years of experience to the credit union and has served as past president of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors for the greater Portland/NW Oregon area, as well as a moderator/instructor for the American College in a wide variety of financial, business, and estate planning topics.

He is Series 7 and 66 registered and insurance licensed in Washington, Oregon and California, and is a 1988 graduate of Washington State University.

PATTY MASON

The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has appointed Patty Mason to its Board of Directors.

For the past eight years, Mason has been the manager of Salmon Creek Family Medicine, a Legacy Medical Group primary care clinic.

Mason is a resident of Camas.

Deanna RuschDEANNA RUSCH

McKinley Irvin, a regional family law firm, recently hired Deanna Rusch as an associate attorney in the firm’s Vancouver office.

Rusch’s practice includes all areas of family law, with an emphasis on complex divorce, relocation and inter-state and international custody issues. She is particularly skilled in assisting divorce clients who own businesses or other complex financial assets.

Jordan Ramis PC shareholder Scott S. Anders was elected president of the Rotary Club of Vancouver earlier this summer. Anders officially began his term on July 1, 2015.

Anders’s main areas of legal practice include real estate law, creditors’ rights, local government law and business law.

Before joining Jordan Ramis, Anders worked as a civil prosecutor and district court judge in Clark County. His ethical standards and professional ability have earned Anders an AV Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating afforded by the organization

Anders is also a member of the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, is active in the Columbia River Economic Development Council, and is a member at large of the city of Vancouver Fire and Building Code Commission.

MarriageTeam, a Vancouver-based nonprofit, has appointed Cheri Perry to its Board of Directors.

Perry is the owner of Total Merchant Concepts, a full-service credit card processing company based in Vancouver.

Vancouver-based WRK Engineers recently welcomed Andrew Sander to its office.

Sander is a recent transplant from Southern California. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Structural Engineering department at UC San Diego with an emphasis in earthquake engineering.

The award honors individuals with superior underwriting skills who have developed a strong partnership with Safeco Insurance. Only 330 agents representing 288 agencies across the country received the award.

Lydia Burns, a project architect with Vancouver-based LSW Architects since 2013, was recently voted to serve a two-year term on the Board of the Oregon/SW Washington Chapter of Council of Educational Facility Planners, International (CEFPI).

In addition to her new role with CEFPI, Burns is a member of the Portland Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and serves on the AIA Oregon Resilience Committee. Throughout her career she has volunteered in schools and as a student mentor to share the world of art, architecture and design with students of all ages.

Eric Merrill recently joined Clark College Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Merrill, vice president of governmental affairs for Waste Connections Inc. in Vancouver, brings decades of experience in business to the 18-member foundation board.

In his current role at Waste Connections, Merrill is responsible for strategic community partnerships for the Western region. He has also served as regional vice president for the Eastern region and in various executive positions for the Pacific Northwest division, as well as roles in sales and marketing and facility permitting, design and construction.

Clark College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves as the fundraising partner of Clark College in support of student learning and program excellence.

Vicki Johnson has passed the Limited Practice Officer (LPO) exam, making her Columbia Title’s newest Escrow Officer, LPO.

Cardno, Inc., an international engineering and environmental services firm, recently named Matt Faulkner as branch manager of its Vancouver office.

Faulkner is a professional land surveyor with 14 years of experience across the Western United States, including surveys for right-of-way, boundary, land development, design and construction.

In his new role, he is responsible for providing overall project/program management and developing client rapport for multiple federal, state and local agencies.
