Visit Vancouver USA has hired Beth Price to serve as business
development manager.

In her new role, Price will foster relationships with meeting planners and association executives throughout the region to assist in bringing meetings and conventions to Vancouver. Her focus will be lead generation and the booking of conferences within the association market.

Prior to joining Visit Vancouver USA, Price worked as corporate sales manager for Embassy Suites at Washington Square in Tigard. She has also worked in sales, catering and conference service roles at Hotel Fifty, Hotel Vintage Plaza and Hotel Monaco.

Price currently serves as chair of the Cascadia Conference and the MPI Oregon
Chapter Education Committee. She graduated from Warner Pacific College in 2011
with a degree in business management.

Cynthia A. Finter has been named senior vice president for payer strategy, innovation and operations for Vancouver-based PeaceHealth.

Finter has more than 25 years of experience in health care leadership, including service as president of health plans in the Midwest and the Northwest. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of Wellpoint in
Indianapolis, Indiana, and as CEO of Finter-Hudson Investments, a health care strategy consultancy.

“We are delighted to welcome Cynthia to the PeaceHealth family,” said Beth O’Brien, PeaceHealth chief operating offcer. “She will play a lead role in ensuring PeaceHealth brings high value to our vital relationships with health plans and other payers.”

ALEXANDRA KUSCHELL & SPENCER STRAUB

Alexandra KuschellSpencer StraubVancouver-based WRK Engineers recently announced the addition of two new employees: Alexandra Kuschell as a design engineer, and Spencer Straub as a designer.

Kuschell brings 13 years of experience to WRK Engineers. With an engineering background in an array of structures, her recent experience has included bridges, retaining walls as well as buildings. Her projects and experience to this point have been primarily centered in the Portland area and Northwest Washington.

Straub’s experience is in residential housing, multi-family housing as well as seismic upgrades and all types of commercial buildings.

His recent work includes commercial structures in the Portland area.

Michelle NisleMatt AbleidingerGreg UsslemanThe Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW) has welcomed three new members to its board of directors: Michelle Nisle, Matt Ableidinger and Greg Usselman.

Nisle serves as deputy prosecuting attorney for the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Offce, currently in the Elder Abuse Unit. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and is a graduate of the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College. She and her husband, Ryan, have lived in Vancouver for more 15 years.

Ableidinger was raised on a farm in East Vancouver surrounded by animals of all kinds. He currently works as a brand manager at Tyndale Advisors and is owner of Leonardo’s Pizzeria in Vancouver. He holds an MBA from Washington State University Vancouver and received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Whitworth University.

Usselman is a commercial banking relationship manager at Banner Bank. He is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School, holds an MBA from the University of San Diego and received his bachelor’s degree in business and economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Tracy WilsonAaron MarvinThe Building Industry Association (BIA) of Clark County, a nonprofit trade association representing the interests of all businesses involved with real estate, land development, homebuilding and construction, recently appointed two new directors to its board: Tracy Wilson, CEO of DeWils Industries, as a subcontractor director, and Aaron Marvin, co-owner of A.C.T. Builders, as vice president secretary for 2015.

Wilson and Marvin have also been appointed as state directors on the BIA of Clark County’s and Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) Board of Directors.

“Tracy Wilson has extensive business experience and understanding of the legislative issues that impact our industry,” said Jack Harroun, president of the 2015 BIA Board of Directors.

“Aaron Marvin brings a tremendous passion for strengthening the professionalism and camaraderie in the remodeling industry. Their reputations and experience make them ideal representatives for our BIA members both locally and statewide.”
