Identity Clark County appoints Arp to board

Identity Clark County has announced the appointment of Ron Arp, president of the communications firm Amplify Group, to its Board of Directors.

Arp was appointed to replace Pat Sheaffer, chairman and CEO of Riverview Bank, who stepped back after his company hired Kim Capeloto, who also
serves on the Identity Clark County board.

“Ron brings a background of marketing and public relations to our board, an element that will enhance many of the efforts and projects that Identity Clark County undertakes,” said Scott Horenstein, a family law attorney who chairs the organization. “Ron continues to be a driving force in the Portland-Vancouver USA, Land Here, Live Here regional identity program.”

Identity Clark County supports transportation and legislative affairs issues that affect the region’s economic health, along with public/private projects such as the Hilton Hotel project that link civic improvements with a healthy economic environment.

LSW Architects recently added Esther Cho to its team of architects.

In her new position, the firm said Cho will provide leadership for LSW’s multi-family and commercial projects, while also supporting LSW’s educational and civic client relationships.

Previously, Cho worked on the historic renovation of the Camas Library and planning for the Riverwest development in Vancouver. The firm said Cho brings extensive experience in urban architecture, high-rise multi-family, office and retail design.

Prudential Northwest Properties Longview Branch has announced that one of its brokers, Mike Wallin, has earned and been issued a Managing Broker’s License by the Washington State Department of Licensing.

A Managing Broker’s License allows the licensee to manage a team of real estate broker licensees,
manage a branch real estate office, serve as a designated broker for a real estate firm or own and operate the licensee’s own real estate firm.

“We’re very proud of Mike,” said Lorre Jaffe, Prudential Northwest Properties’ Longview branch manager. “He represents us so well with his desire to increase his real estate education, sound ethics and commitment to professional standards.”

To qualify for Washington State’s Real Estate Managing Broker’s License, Wallin had to complete coursework in brokerage management, in business management and advanced real estate law.

The Rotary Club of Vancouver recently installed Timothy Buckley, principal of Greenstone Architecture, as its 2011-2012 president. In addition, Greg Jellison, principal at HDJ Design Group, has been named president of the Vancouver Rotary Foundation.
