First Independent names Timm head of commercial banking

Timm has more than 28 years of experience concentrated in lending and risk management for banks in the Pacific Northwest.

“As the region moves beyond the recession, we are focused on helping our commercial banking clients and other local businesses to regain their momentum and responsibly manage their futures. Marc Timm is exactly the kind of banker we need to lead this effort for First Independent,” said company President Jeanne Firstenburg.

Timm is a graduate of the University of Hawaii, Northwest Intermediate Banking School at University of Portland and the Pacific Coast Banking School at University of Washington.

SUMMER ARBOGAST

Summer Arbogast

First Independent has hired Summer Arbogast to manage its Cascade Park branch. 

The bank said Arbogast has 13 years of financial services experience including six years in management positions. Most recently, she was a branch manager for Sterling Savings Bank in Hermiston, Oregon. 

Arbogast currently serves on the board of Salvation Army, is a Junior Achievement instructor and a member of the Greater Clark County Rotary.

Tracie Seigel

Vancouver’s Downtown Association has announced the addition of Tracie Seigel to its board of
directors.

Seigel, a banking professional First Independent, has long been a supporter of Downtown Vancouver’s business district, nonprofits and entrepreneurs.

Pam Baker

Columbia Credit Union Home Loans Vice President, Pam Baker, has been named the Community Housing Resource Center’s (CHRC) 2011 Volunteer of the Year. The announcement was made at the Center’s 11th Annual “Home Is Where The Heart Is” breakfast fundraising event

As an active volunteer for nearly five years, Baker has helped with the Center’s fundraising, program and development, and personnel committee efforts.

Baker has served Columbia Credit Union in her current role for nearly five years.
