Washington State Tech Summit set for April 28

On April 28, Washington’s tech companies will convene at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond for the 2006 Washington State Technology Summit. Hosted by the Washington Technology Center, the Tech Summit brings together technology leaders from across the state to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities across multiple technology industries central to Washington economic growth.

On April 28, Washington’s tech companies will convene at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond for the 2006 Washington State Technology Summit. Hosted by the Washington Technology Center, the Tech Summit brings together technology leaders from across the state to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities across multiple technology industries central to Washington economic growth.

Pamela Passman, director of Global Corporate Affairs for Microsoft is the keynote speaker for the 2006 Technology Summit. Other speakers include Russell Maguire, technical fellow, Boeing; Rick Rashad, senior vice president of research for Microsoft; Chris Cassidy, program director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture; John Shovic, Eastern Washington University professor and cyber security expert; and Tom Halle, senior director for strategic alliances at Aventail.

Four sectors are highlighted at the summit through targeted programming – Aerospace, Agriculture, Software and Renewable Energy.

The Washington Technology Summit will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost to attend is $150. Conference details, including full agenda, speaker line up and break out session schedules are available on WTC’s website at www.watechcenter.org.
