Welcome to the vbjusa.com Datebook. Before you will be able to enter your events you must be a registered user of the site. To register go to the top right corner of the home page and click on Register.
After registering you will receive an email similar to the one below:

Thank you for registering at Vancouver Business Journal | Key to Southwest Washington Business. Your account is created and must be activated before you can use it. To activate the account click on the link provided to the email address you designated. If you do not see the email, please check your spam folder.
After activation you may login to http://www.vbjusa.com/using the following username and password:
Username: XXXXXX
Password: xxxxxxx

The image above shows you the login screen for the vbjusa.com website. You’ll see this screen first when you return to the site to add an event and click on the login link in the upper right hand corner of the homepage. For new users of the site once you receive the acknowledgement email you’ll want to return to the site and login.
To begin entering your event you’ll hover over Submit an Event in the Datebook drop-down menu which will pull up the form pictured below.
Fill in required fields indicated by an asterisk to the right of the data box.
Next, select default for design, if you would like you can upload your company’s or organization’s logo in the icon area.
Your event is submitted whether you click on the Apply or Save button.
Only click one of these two options, once. An event is saved each time you click on Apply or Save.
The Next button takes you to the Description page:
The description page is used for entering information such as cost to attend, fees, specific instructions and information on reservations.
There is a list of locations already entered where many of the local events take place.
If the location of your event is not listed in the directory, click on Add Location to add the new location.
The system will then remember this location and include it on the list for future use.

Once you have completed entering your event information you will see a screen like the one above which shows how your event will appear.
At this point you may logout or you can click on Datebook in the navigation bar at the top of the page and click on Submit Event to enter another event.
To log out, click on the Login/Logout at the top of the page which will give you the Logout option.
Once you have entered your events they will be reviewed by the site administrator and approved to go live, generally within two hours of your entry. All events entered at any time on Friday will be approved by 10 AM Monday.
Once your event has been approved you can view it and the other the events for a specific day by clicking on the day of the month on the calendar that appears in the left column of the website.
Note: The content of the module will only be displayed when accessing the event details view. If your event needs to be edited, is recurring or you need to cancel an event previously entered, open your event from the calendar below, click on your event.
You will find the Edit Your Events options on the lower left hand side of the screen

For events that will repeat on a regular basis, choose Repeat event and this the screen below will appear - choose yes and use the Repeat option to select additional dates from calendar.
Click Save to move forward to the Repeat event form.
